Known!Sanctified!Ordained

Nothing brings me more comfort than realizing that God knows about all that I am(the good, the bad and the very bad) and all I would ever be.

I sometimes struggle with how God can truly deal with my humanness,  it is quite incredible. The bible is full of the many proclamations of Gods love; top of which is sending his son,  Jesus. Its truly amazing the love God has for us; unconditional and undeniable.

God must have like a long file cabinet(like the one in Bruce Almighty) that has my name on it. In it, you should find my strengths, long list of my weaknesses, insecurities,  fears etc. That file will most certainly contain all the mistakes I have made & may make, the struggles I may face and my many journey of falling and getting up. Even in all these, God did not stop at knowing me,  He sanctified and Ordained me.

I don’t think God went through a mini mini mani mo process of selecting who would be chosen or ordained and we never had to and still do not need to prove that we are qualified. If God saw us as prophets sanctified and ordained, who are we to think or see less. In fact, what a great assignment to bestow on us while we were still being formed in the womb.

Apparently God does not concern himself with how we see ourselves. Excluding the part of God knowing me too well, I don’t see myself as a prophet as I would imagine prophets had to be holy and sinless. I, on the other hand is most certainly with sin.

Thanks be to God who loves me true and through. How truly amazing to know that I don’t need to be qualified or perfect to be known, sanctified and ordained  by him.

…“Before I shaped you in the womb, I knew all about you. Before you saw the light of day, I had holy plans for you: A prophet to the nations— that’s what I had in mind for you.”
